Biscuits and Sausage Gravy
American recipe
Ingredients:
(broth)
1lb sausage meat
3 tbsp flour
2 - 3 cups milk
Salt and pepper to taste
(biscuits)
2 cups flour flour
1/4 cup reduction
1/4 cup of milk
Guidelines:
Shred the sausage in a frying pan and cook until the meat is no longer pink. Add 1 tablespoon flour at a time and stir quickly. Continue to stir until the paste forms, then heat up to a high temperature. Add the milk, stir, and add salt. This combination should be quite large. To make biscuits, mix together the cutlery and flour using a cutting board, if you have one. Add the milk, stirring as you do. Stir the dough into a bowl, then transfer it to a refrigerated container. Take it out and cut out a round shape (I find a drinking glass works well for this). Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake at 425 degrees F for about 10 - 15 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown. Serve the biscuits open face or cut, sprinkled with sausage gravy on top.
